It is -13 C out - must be about 0 Fahrenheit...Veeka shrieked when I wheeled her out into the cold but sunny weather this a.m. It truly feels like Siberia today. She has a sunny personality and all the hotel staff love her and blow her kisses. She has really blossomed in the past week.
No huge news - am meeting with a Russian evangelist at 4 p.m. just to learn what the church scene is here. Valentin will interpret. Was up at 3 a.m. today for some strange reason. Guess I'd better get used to it, eh?
Zzzzzzzz

So exciting, Julia. My comment posted yesterday and so will try once more. I tried to call you one night and the long distance service wouldln't/didn't recognize the numbers. It is very cold here too. We are having what is called a Siberian Cold Air Mass in MN. It is -8 F. I can convert F to C and C to F with people temperatures but the equation doesn't work when it gets to zero degrees or minus degrees. As you say, brrrrrrr. Very cold to be taking little children in and out. We look forward to springtime in Washington. Faith
Hoping you will have opportunity to write another note soon. You are much in our thoughts. And wondering if Bob and Phyllis's package finally arrived. Faith
So glad that the hotel staff have really "taken" to Veeka and thus you. A child will take you into territory yet unknown but in my mind one of the most pleasant places in the world. I think I'll be coming to D.C. soon after you arrive. United Airline miles?????
Congratulations, Julia! She's beautiful!
